The problem

School work is connected, but most tools treat it as separate.

Admissions affect enrollment. Enrollment affects sections. Sections affect teaching loads, schedules, attendance, billing, records, and family communication. The project was designed around those dependencies rather than as a collection of disconnected forms.

The goal is a single operational system that presents each user with the work appropriate to their role while preserving administrative oversight and reliable records.

Core capabilities

From public application to daily school operations.

Admissions & Applications

Public student and parent application entry, review queues, status handling, and controlled account onboarding.

Student & Family Records

Student profiles, parent or guardian links, enrollment records, documents, and family-facing access.

Class Builder & Scheduling

Grade offerings, sections, subjects, placements, staffing, room use, time constraints, and schedule publication.

Attendance & School Queues

Student and staff attendance, barcode-assisted entry, office queue numbers, serving displays, and transaction flow.

Role-Based Workspaces

Purpose-built access for superusers, administrators, registrars, cashiers, teachers, principals, parents, and students.

Finance & Reporting

Cashier operations, school fees, transaction records, printable reports, and administrative visibility.

Product design

Designed around tasks, not technical modules.

Role clarity

Each workspace is organized by the job the user needs to complete. Navigation, permissions, and forms are aligned to the active role instead of exposing every internal module to every account.

Operational continuity

School processes often span multiple offices. The system carries status and record context forward so the registrar, cashier, teacher, administrator, and family do not have to reconstruct the same information independently.

Controlled deployment

The project includes installer, versioning, migration-led updates, and recovery-oriented release practices intended to support repeatable deployment and safer maintenance.

Architecture

A practical stack for maintainable school deployment.

  • Server-rendered PHP application with JavaScript-enhanced interaction.
  • MySQL/MariaDB relational data model for students, staff, schedules, transactions, and permissions.
  • Role-aware navigation and server-side authorization checks.
  • Responsive interfaces for desktop, tablet, kiosk, and mobile workflows.
  • Versioned database migrations and release tracking for controlled updates.
  • Printable and exportable operational reports.

Access and credentials

Public information is visible; secure credentials stay private.

No administrator, staff, student, parent, or demonstration passwords are published in this portfolio. Authorized project reviewers may request controlled access directly from the system owner.
